you joined the JTB Group.

I’ve been passionate about travelling my whole life. My father used to work on the Travel Industry and would take me on trips and different trade fairs ever since I was 5 years old. Also being Brazilian and raised in Spain, helped me develop a very global mindset. After studying Tourism in University, I joined Europamundo Vacaciones, a Spanish tour operator that became part of JTB Group in 2014, and becoming part of JTB Group really opened new opportunities for growth for our company and its employees.

I am currently assigned in JTB’s Headquarters in Tokyo as part of the Global Business Unit (GBU) through internal open position system, responsible for Internal Communications, Branding and Public Relations, and my tasks are to promote JTB brand image and awareness across the different companies outside Japan. I’m focused on improving on bilateral communication so we can adapt our messages for the different mindsets all over the world.

This position is the most interesting I’ve had in my career, as it allows me to get to understand, not only the fascinating life in Japan and the Japanese unique lifestyle and mindset, but also to get to learn from so many different cultures worldwide. Getting to understand how our brand is perceived through different companies eyes and reach to a point they can relate to, it’s extremely rewarding.

Currently I am still focused on internal branding, as there are still so many goals that I would like to achieve for the company. In the future I’d like to continue to promote different aspects of JTB’s brand, both internally and externally. Even if it’s on a regional level, I want to continue promoting communications throughout the extensive global network that we have built.
